House or Home
First time I'm home from hall in two months. It's always comforting at first; but that temporal comfort grows into other feelings by the second consecutive day. I keep wishing things were placed differently etc. and well I find myself feeling increasingly lazy or dull. It's so easy to get sucked into doing nothing and feeling that it's okay my house is a mess just cuz even thinking of what needs to be done is already tiring.
Is it because my house is so dark? And everybody's pretty much happy going on in the dim lighting. I guess I do appreciate light - and natural light at that - quite a bit; which may explain my choice of bed next to the window in hall.
And maybe it's the mess? Of course the mess. It's dusty and unsightly and so claustrophobic dammit. Half the time when I come home, I end up going back to hall with a stuffy nose and itchy eyes.
Oh not to forget the storeroom! I am always amazed at how each time I come back, the small dark storeroom actually manages to have more and more and more things packed into it.
Ah and the living room; not made for living at all is it. Lol... We even still have the old cpus from god knows when, as well as the table tennis table rotting in one corner of the balcony; plus the boxy old computer monitor screen.
Argh and my room is well, half not my room since my dad's stuff is littered alll over. Everytime I come back; it grows.
Just so I will have some notes for the future when I move back:
- Get water heater!
- Change the toilet seats!
- Clear out all the unwanted sports shoes (which are forming a mountain high pile in the shoes area gosh) and get shoe racks for each person!
- Clear out my unwanted clothes
- Clear out the storeroom if possible (last I checked and could see, there was 3 guitars cases, 1 huge rosewood table, several cupboards, old monitor screen, keyboards etc.
It's going to be such a major overhaul... I'm not even sure I'll get down to it sigh.
But still! I gotta keep this feeling of wanting things to change before it disappears into the slovenly mess!!
