Ice Cream

Wow I kinda made ice cream!! The sorbet wasn't as successful though. As I usually like to do - I simply whacked the ingredients and proportions after reading up on how to make ice cream without an ice cream maker. And so I made a honey-mango-rum ice cream and mango-rum sorbet. The ice cream strongly reflects the honey taste (probably cuz I added a whole lot of that) and not very much mango (cuz there wasn't much to go round), but it just made me realise, honey rum and cream seem to go rather well together. I can imagine in future perhaps a honey rum ice cream filled with rum-soaked raisins wow.

This is quite exciting haha.

Wow I just came up with something else to add to my list of "Things I So Do Not Need But Totally Want =)":

(wait for it).... an ice-cream maker. Tada.

Habits

Today D went away to camp, and his absence was felt. It's become such a habit to chat with D on msn like practically every night - whining about waking up early (which I've been doing for the past week already for various different things wow), making perfunctory comments about serials and movies I'm watching, discussing more tv serials that I should watch nonstop like I/we did for Leverage...

Probably wouldnt help that I've tried to get (and hopefully got) my second job at the brewery. That will leave me with... just about zero days to chill out and do nothing. Which means zero days to just go over and bum and watch shows and bum even more. Plus drive his mum's car out in the middle of the night. Woot.

Now that I have work, 1.5 months seem very quick, because everything's made to count in a suddenly greatly shortened period. So much left to settle and so little effective time...

Random Bits of Amazement

Wow, the last post was 2 months ago - amazing. Alot of things have happened since then (of course), including Expdns, not backpacking, hanging out alot with H and D, finding a job (and being very picky as usual), fb league, fb seniors farewell chalet... etc.

Hmm interesting but come next semester, all my jc eye candies would be in hall. Lol.

September (and Japan) is nearing... but still pretty far off too.

I got a job, finally.

Which means no time for holiday aww.

Which isn't that bad considering I don't have much money to splash around with exchange coming up.

Been taking up my hobbies again - cooking, sewing/deconstruction, guitar. Or should I say mainly have to do with reading about them. Actually started deconstructing one of dad's thousand and one shirts though. =D Pretty sure he won't miss it.

Today's badminton with fb girls made me wonder if I should start badminton again and probably find khakis.

Or maybe go for squash training with the school team if possible.

Or just not do sports for 2 months. Wonder how that would work out. 0.0
