Past 3 Days of the not so Spring-like-yet Spring Break
Monday 8 Feb
Karaoke with Seunghee, Saki, Wataru, Shungo, Is-, Jessie etc because Sh is sadly leaving back to Korea on 10th - which is today. Went to Karaoke late because Is- and I both overslept; and had to leave early for floorball practice - last floorball practice before the Vday match.
Floorball was GOOD that day. Few people cuz of Asia Cup and we did alot of tiring but useful drills. And power play + box play. Best thing was at the end of it, Sacchi actually properly sat down with me for a good 10-15 mins to explain and really explain until I understood why in power play I had to not do some passes and stuff like that. It was awesome. This has to be the first time that anyone has sat me down since I came and explained something until they were so sure I got it - and I had Miku and Ana there to help translate too. Really appreciated it so much - sad thing was I'm not sure if I got that appreciation across. But I'll learn how to say it - I will. I can't wait to learn much more from her in the half year more.
Tuesday 9 Feb
Somehow slept at 5-6am and woke up at 4pm, only to find that the day had such PERFECT weather at 20deg!! How rare when it's been 1deg and snowing! Woke Is- up and we left at 6pm+ to go Mister Donut and take a walk down past Seiyu. Ended up eating alot of nonsense - ice cream, mr donut, drink - and walking till Ochiai then back. Had to resist so hard to buy food outside because there was so much perishables in the fridge - partly thanks to my roommate. Reached back dorm at 10pm or so and cooked udon in gravy with pork and assorted veg for Is- and Shannon. Then strawberries courtesy of Is-. Yumz.
Wednesday 10 Feb
Slept at 5am again but finished reading a book - Train Man. Had to get up early at 8am to go meet Donna who's here on a short holiday with her cousins. Got -bel to go along and dhan- joined later. Don-'s Japanese friend came as well, and joined by another a few hours later. Walked around Ueno, a calligraphy exhibition, a tiny art exhibition, had a busker preview, ate ramen, walked to Akihabara on the pretext of trying a maid cafe only to decide it's too expensive when we got there. Walked to Ochanomizu and visited the kong zi shrine on the way - and it's the shrine where many pray every year for good results at the university entrance examinations. Then metro'd to Kasumigeki, walked around the imperial palace grounds - or whatever much we were allowed to - then sat down for a cuppa hot cocoa and scone at Starbucks. Came back to N-Wased- to meet Shisseru for dinner (Chanpon) with Is-, then drinks at 10deg (by the river) had sugar and spice which was yummm and cheap too. Then picasso for a bit and back.
Tired.
Tomorrow Yokohama, Friday Outlet? Saturday nothing yet, Sunday match, Monday trng, Tues off to Korea! Till following Monday (22) then ski camp till 25, part-time job on 27th, maybe Nikko sometime and Kanazawa? Still need to find time to get Sesshun18kippu too.
Wows.
